Hello Esteemed Parents.

As the holidays will soon come to an end, GMA’s parents, guardians, and staff should prepare for the term ahead. IT’S GOOD TO PREPARE AHEAD Back-to-school activities could be overwhelming if not well-planned. If you don’t plan to work you will work to fail. Prioritisation for back-to-school activities is expedient. Non or inadequate planning may bring mixed emotions, anxiety, or fatigue as a result of rushing to meet up deadlines or fees payments, which could even cause your child to be unkempt and emotionally restless when the learning routine starts.

We bring to you some back-to-school tips:

1) Some questioning could be helpful:
Are your child’s school uniforms and sportswear clean and ironed? Have you had some home revision on previous academic works for your child? Have you paid your child’s school fees? These and many more could keep your feet running to make a successful term with your child.

2) A calendar for planning.
Keeping a calendar helps you plan because the term will come with add ons than just bathing your child for a school day! Plan the day for shopping, academic revision, uniforms and sportswear laundry, hair cut or plaiting, etc.

3) Start Small:
Can you carry out the back-to-school work a day? START SMALL
Remember you have other domestic chores, business appointments, or personal hustles. PLAN IT – Starting small is not bad because you could finish BIG.

4) Bad wears:
Every child feels happy and proud when well-dressed. DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE A SECOND UNIFORM/SPORTSWEAR? You could meet GMA’s Admin to purchase or make the replacement of worn-out school wears. We care for the clean and pretty look of your child.

5.) Learn how to create a distraction-free zone:
Do you know your child’s poor performance could be due to distractions? A study on School Pupils Distractions found that it takes pupils an average of 10 minutes to turn to what could distract them. Teaching your child the power of focus at home will help improve his/her academic career.

6) What is in your control or your child’s control:
Before the school resumes, identify what is still in your control and your child’s control. Focus on what’s in your control now. Your child may be in control when school resumes. But it is in your control now to fix the needed things for your child’s academic success. THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME TO DO THAT. IT IS IN YOUR CONTROL… NOW!

You can go now and pay your child’s school fees

7) The Power of Confidence:
The Power of Confidence is key to your child’s academic success. As a parent, your confidence is an essential part of helping your child transition back to school successfully. Your child picks up on your fear! He or she learns from what you do. And most importantly, remember to communicate this confidence to your child – this will help both you and your child keep anxiety in check.

Let’s be kind as we navigate this return to school. School fees matter a lot for your child’s academic success. Your child will be of utmost happiness when his/her school fees are paid.

With warm regards

At GMA, we love you💖
